The Toll Has a Release Date and I’m Freaking Out

If you’ve been reading my posts for a while, then you know that the Arc of a Scythe series by Neal Shusterman is one of my absolute favorite things in the world right now.  I read the first two books back-to-back in January and I haven’t been able to get them out of my head since.  In fact, I even wrote about my predictions for where the series will be headed after the crazy cliffhanger Shusterman so rudely left us with.  There is one more book left in this trilogy and I have been eagerly anticipating more details about it since finishing up Thunderhead.

Well, the wait for details is finally over.  In addition to the fact that the title and description were revealed a few months ago, there is now an actual cover and release date!  Sure, I would rather just have a finished copy in my hand, but the information available still makes me really happy.  Since I can’t contain my own excitement over all of this information, I thought I’d share it with everyone else.

Warning:  If you haven’t finished Scythe and Thunderhead, don’t look here because the description of The Toll gives some major spoilers.

The Toll

Description: “It’s been three years since Rowan and Citra disappeared; since Scythe Goddard came into power; since the Thunderhead closed itself off to everyone but Grayson Tolliver.

In this pulse-pounding conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Neal Shusterman’s Arc of a Scythe trilogy, constitutions are tested and old friends are brought back from the dead.”

Number of Pages:  544

Release Date:  November 5, 2019

I am so unbelievably excited that I will have my hands on the last book in this trilogy soon!  The cover and description alone seem really intense.  It sounds like it’s going to start in a pretty dark place where the bad guys have basically won, which is going to be horrifying.  Honestly, it’s impossible to know what to expect because Shusterman has a knack for creating crazy plot twists that no one can possibly see coming.  Regardless, I know that this is going to be a wild ride and I can’t wait.

      1. I am sure that now this will be a full dystopia novel with an authoritarian government! I think that it was completely necessary for him to be on top… you know the higher they are the harder the fall XD
